With newly installed light wood floor this bedroom is equipped with one double and one single bed in a simple yet comfortable place. Artificial light and electric plugs can be found close by the beds. Wi-Fi is guaranteed in all areas.
Our place is located in the south of Zaandam in the northern outskirt of Amsterdam, no longer than 30 minutes away by bus to the Amsterdam Centraal Station. We are 3 good friends, 2 guys and 1 girl, with an open mind spirit that like to meet new people and to share some cool tips to explore Amsterdam while you stay with us.
The house has 3 bedrooms in total, kitchen, living room, toilet and shower room.
The living room is where we get together more often It is decorated in a simple style yet super comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen is equipped with the usual amenities, ready to create a quick snack or a really nice dinner, including barbecues.

Amenities:
The tour begins with a Zimbali greeting & introduction while sipping a freshly made fruit juice. Then “Fudd” our farm manager leads a tour of the farm and then back to the cooking studio for a fun filled cooking demonstration which includes a bottle of wine/couple. Both lunch and dinner consist of: an appetizer, main course and dessert, w/ dinner having an extra appetizer as well. There is a choice in main course dishes between: fish, chicken, shrimp or vegan/vegetarian- Gluten free is a welcome option as well.
A tropical retreat in the resort area of Negril, Zimbali Retreat offers mountain lodging that comprises six cottages. Each cottage has its own unique decor with queen beds and relaxing porches. Zimbali Retreat also had an organic farm fed by a freshwater spring. From the farm, the chef whips up unique treats for guests. Zimbali brings visitors back to nature; incorporating modern technology and a peaceful environment.

Stay in a newly renovated 1 bedroom English basement apartment with a private entrance in a single-family home in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, DC.
Update: There is a construction taking place next door to the home. By DC law, construction can take place from 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday.
Transportation:
The apartment is situated between the Brookland/CUA and Rhode Island Ave Metro Station on the red line which a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment. Uber or Lyft will get you to most, if not all, of the downtown memorials, sites and night life in 20 mins or less!
You will be 2 blocks from DC’s Capital Bike Share where you can rent bikes from a self-service kiosk to tour the city or just to get around.
The Neighborhood:
The Brookland neighborhood offers endless restaurants, bars and entertainment options all within walking distance. You’ll never be bored being located in the heart of the city.
The Right Proper Brewing Company and Tastemakers, a former factory that houses local food vendors and a Ben Franklin themed bar are a stone’s throw away from the apartment.
Just a 10 minute walk up the road, visit some of DC’s favorite restaurants at Monroe Street Market. This open air complex houses BusBoys and Poets, Brookland Pint, Starbucks, Chipotles, and much more!
This space is perfect for explorations, city exploration, romantic getaways, weekend escapes, solo and business travel. We can accommodate up to 4 people. A futon is available for sleeping in the living room area. There is a $35 additional charge per day for each guest over 2 people.
Parking: There is plenty of free street parking in the front of the house. Read signs carefully to avoid a parking ticket.
We are local Washingtonians! We are here to make sure you enjoy your time in DC. Feel free to ask us for recommendations for sightseeing, tours, restaurants and things to do.

Enjoy 1000 square feet of living space on the first floor of our home. Bedroom, private bath, living room and shared kitchen. Mike and I spend most of our time on the 2nd floor but love to interact with guests as much as you are comfortable. Must love dogs! Our two puppies are loving rescue babies. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the morning. 1 hour drive to Boston, about a 30 minute drive to Providence RI and a 10 minute drive to Worcester. Twin River Casino is about a 30 minute drive, Brimfield Antique Fair is about a 30 minute drive. There are also museums, farms, parks, Purgatory Chasm, and a Zoo all within about 15-20 minutes from the house. The large guest bedroom includes a queen size bed, a 40 inch flat screen tv with cable and all premium channels, a DVD player with Netflix, a window A.C. unit and an electric fireplace. Full access to the shared kitchen that is stocked with everything you need to showcase your culinary arts! We also have a Keurig, a coffee pot and a coffee press available for your use. We look forward to hosting you!
